Terms of Service

1. What Wishyours is

Wishyours builds celebration pages: a web page made for one person, or one couple, or one group, for a specific occasion. It started as a birthday product and is no longer limited to birthdays. It currently covers 23 occasions, including weddings, anniversaries, engagements, new babies, graduations, new jobs, retirements, housewarmings, farewells, thank yous, get well soon, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Friendship Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Eid and Raksha Bandhan. Occasions may be added or retired over time.

There are three tiers:

• Classic is free, and gives you one shareable page on a wishyours.shop link, with your words, your photos and a theme.
• Wish adds a swipeable reveal book, voice notes, background music, a PIN-locked private letter, a scheduled reveal, and a link others can use to add their own messages.
• Special adds a web address of their own, in the form theirname.wishyours.shop, and is generated from your answers rather than built by hand, so it exists as soon as you finish.
• Signature is a bespoke, fully animated site built with you, without Wishyours branding, on a domain of its own that we register and set up for you rather than a name on ours.

2. Who can use it

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 18, to create a page or make a purchase. Anyone can open and view a page that has been shared with them. If you are making a page about a child, you confirm you are their parent or guardian, or that you have the permission of one.

3. Accounts and sign-in

A free page can be made without an account. Paid tiers require signing in with Google so we can tie your purchase to you and let you manage what you have made. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Reveal PINs are yours to look after. We store them so a page can check them. A PIN is never shown on the page, never included in anything we send, and never given to anyone who asks for it. Our own support console can see it, which is how we can restore your access if you lose it — contact us from the email that owns the page and we will help.

4. Your content, and who owns it

Everything you put into a page stays yours: names, messages, letters, photos, voice notes, music links. We do not claim ownership of any of it and we do not sell it.

You give us the narrow permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, process it, and display it to people who open your page or its share link. That permission lasts as long as the page exists and ends when it is deleted. We will not use your content to advertise Wishyours without asking you first.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. That matters most for photographs of other people and for anything you did not create yourself.

5. What you may not make

Do not use Wishyours to create or share:

• anything that harasses, threatens, bullies, humiliates or targets somebody, including pages made to mock a person rather than celebrate them;
• sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content presented as being about a real person without their consent;
• content that impersonates someone, or that is designed to make a reader believe a real person said something they did not;
• material that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy;
• hate speech, incitement to violence, or content that is illegal where you or the recipient live;
• spam, scams, phishing, malware, or bulk pages made to distribute links rather than to celebrate anyone.

Group message walls are open to anyone with the link, which means you are also responsible for moderating what appears on a page you created. We provide tools to remove messages, and we will remove them ourselves when something crosses the lines above.

6. The people you make pages for

Wishyours pages are about real people who usually did not ask to be written about. Treat that seriously. Only include photos and details you have a right to share, and be ready to take a page down if the person it is about asks you to.

If a page is about you and you want it removed, email us at wishyourssuprise@gmail.com. We will act on that even though you are not the customer, and we will not require you to prove a legal claim first.

7. Payments

Paid tiers are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Gumroad, which acts as Merchant of Record: Gumroad is the seller for your transaction, handles the payment, and is responsible for collecting any sales tax or VAT. Your card details never reach us.

One payment creates one page or one order. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future purchases, never retroactively for one you already made.

8. Refunds

If a page does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it or refund it. That is the whole policy for the Free and Wish tiers, and we will not argue about it.

Surprise is different, because it is built by hand for you. Once work has started, or once a domain has been purchased on your behalf, the cost of that work and that domain is not refundable. Ask before you buy if you are unsure, and we will tell you plainly what is and is not recoverable.

9. Web addresses on Special and Signature

These two tiers do not give you the same thing, and the difference matters.

Special puts their name on a domain we own, in the form theirname.wishyours.shop. You choose the first part. It is included in the price, there is nothing extra to buy, and nothing for you to renew with anyone else. Names are first come, first served, so we cannot promise a particular one is still free by the time you order; if it is taken we will ask you to pick another.

Signature comes with a domain of its own — a name we register for you at a registrar, with no wishyours in it anywhere. You choose the name and we cover the registration for the first year as part of the price. Common endings such as .site, .space, .fun and .shop are included. Some endings, .com in particular, are priced far higher by registrars; if you want one of those we will tell you the cost and agree it with you before anything is bought.

A domain is only ours to register if nobody else has it. If the exact name you want is already taken we will tell you and help you pick another. Until the domain is registered and pointed at the site, your Signature page is reachable at a wishyours.shop address, so there is always something to open.

Your address stays live for one year from the day we deliver it. That is a guarantee, not an estimate. We will email you before the year is up, and if you decide not to renew we will tell you when the page is coming down and give you a chance to save anything from it. We will never take a page down inside the first year for any reason other than the ones in section 11.

After that first year, renewal is at the market rate at the time, not at the price you first paid. We will remind you before it lapses, and you can renew through us or move the name to your own registrar. If it lapses the address stops working and anyone may register it, though the page itself stays reachable at its wishyours.shop address. A domain that has already been registered for you cannot be refunded, because the registrar has been paid.

Surprise sites are built by hand. We will agree what it should contain before we start. Delivery times depend on that and on how quickly we get the photos, words and voice notes we need from you.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep pages online and reachable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features, including occasions and themes. If a change would materially reduce something you have already paid for, we will tell you and offer a refund of that purchase.

Free and Wish pages are kept live so the person they were made for can go back to them. We do not delete them for being old or quiet, and there is no inactivity cut-off. One comes down only if you ask us to, if the person it is about asks us to, or if it breaks section 5. If that ever changes we will email account holders before it takes effect. Surprise addresses are the exception and run on the one-year term in section 9.

11. Suspension and takedown

We can suspend an account or take a page offline if it breaks section 5, if it is the subject of a credible complaint from the person it depicts, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. Where the content is seriously harmful, we will act first.

12. Our intellectual property

The Wishyours name, logo, site design, page templates, themes, animations and code are ours. Making a page does not transfer any of that to you; it gives you the right to use it for that page. Do not copy the service to build a competing one.

13. Automatically written wishes

If you leave the message blank, we generate wishes for you from the details you provide, using an automated system. Read what it writes before you share the page. It is a starting point, you can edit it, and you are responsible for what you ultimately publish. We do not guarantee that generated text is original, accurate or suitable, and generated wording may resemble wording produced for someone else.

14. Third parties we rely on

Running Wishyours means using other companies: Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the database and file storage, Google for sign-in, Gumroad for payments, Resend for email, and an AI provider for generated wishes. Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. Music you link to plays from YouTube or Spotify under their terms, not ours.

15. Liability

Wishyours is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for content other people put on your page, or for a page not being seen at a particular moment. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the page in question, which for a free page is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you as a consumer.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not remove the protections you have under your own local law, and you may bring a claim where you live.

Before going to court, email us. Almost everything is solvable in a message.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use Wishyours after a change means you accept it.
